Accessibility

Ostia Antica archaeological Park is committed to ensure the accessibility to the cultural sites, thanks to a range of projects aimed at removing the architectural barriers.

The projects by the management of the Park focused in the Archaelogical area of Ostia Antica, including the realization of routes for disabled people and for the use of wheelchairs.

From the ticket office to Ostiense Museum, the route is accessible by wheelchairs. Along the way, it's possible to visit the Piazzale of Corporazioni, nearby the Roman Theatre. The Ostiense Museum is also accessible by wheelchairs, thanks to an access ramp.

For disabled people, with appropriate permit, it's possible to enter inside the parking area.

An accessible route starts from the parking area, alongside the Tiber river, that goes to via of Misuratori del Grano and leads to the Capitolium, nearby the Domus of Diana.

In the Archaeological area there are sanitary facilities for disabled people.
